Description
If you want something exotic, mangrove leaves are just right for you.
One of the most important things in a snail terrarium is leaf litter. Snails only feel truly comfortable when they are provided with a suitable layer of leaves.
The leaves provide good hiding places. They also release tannic and humic acids, which help protect the animals from bacteria and fungi.
Real banana leaves make an ideal substrate in tropical rainforest terrariums. Mangrove leaves give your terrarium the appearance of the animals' natural habitat.
If necessary or as a precaution, you can bake the leaves again.
