Archachatina Marginata Ovum XXL belongs to one of the largest species of giant African land snails. It lays up to 12 eggs per clutch. This
large giant African land snail can reach a shell length of
23cm. Since they originally come from the rainforest in Africa, they need higher humidity and warmer temperatures. The snails can live up to 12 years. Depending on the size of the snail, the terrarium or box should be adjusted accordingly.

“Snail Imports” – is what this section is called. This animal is not a European breeding, they come from a farm in Africa. Cosmetic defects are normal with imports, as they were bred for size rather than beauty.
Snail shipping: Our snails only travel first class! In summer and winter during extreme temperatures, we sometimes wait a few days with the shipping, for the sake of the animals. Please refrain from asking about the status daily. We make sure that the animals arrive safely with you, we are the only land snail shop with courier, because that is the gentlest for the animals. In winter, the winter packaging is included in the shipping price. The animals will come to you as soon as it is cold with a heat pack and Styrofoam box.
When the animals arrive with you, remember to let them acclimate at room temperature for half to three-quarters of an hour first. You know that on Slimeside everything always takes a little longer. Give your snails the time they need.
