Shipping information
These sweet little ones will be sent using a special private overnight animal transport service.
We will email you as soon as the little ones have been shipped.
They will arrive the following day. Unfortunately, tracking is not available with this shipping method.
We are the only online shop with a private courier that can offer this service at this price. However, when the snails are shipped depends on a few factors. To keep the price low, we can only arrange collection for combined orders. Please be patient and understanding, as this may take a little while in some cases. We will do our best to ship as quickly as possible.
In cold weather, the snails are shipped with Styrofoam and a heat pack. The cost is included in the sale price.
Information about the snails
This species does not lay eggs. It is live-bearing and can give birth to up to 45 young, which you will need to boil or freeze. Please think carefully about whether you are prepared to do this. You cannot keep and raise them all; that would be animal cruelty.
They originally come from Cameroon. See details.
Details
The snails can live for up to 10 years and reach a shell length of up to 7 cm. The full name is: Lissachatina zanzibarica pink Top
Care tips
This species needs: 80–90% humidity
Normal room temperature is sufficient. Add carbonate of lime to the soil to raise its pH—available here in our shop. The minimum terrarium size for a small group of adult snails is 60x40x40 cm. Different snail species must not be kept together in one terrarium. The recommended group size for this species is at least 3 animals.
