Description
Lissachatina Immaculata Immaculata:
The price is for one snail!
Shipping information
The little cuties will travel with a special private overnight pet courier.
We will email you as soon as the little ones have been shipped.
They will arrive the following day. Unfortunately, tracking is not available with this shipping method.
We are the only online shop with a private courier, allowing us to offer this service at this price. However, when the snails are shipped depends on a few factors. To keep the price low, we can only arrange for group orders to be picked up. Please be patient and understanding, as this may take a little while in some cases. We will do our best to ship them as quickly as possible.
In cold weather, the snails are shipped with Styrofoam and a heat pack. The cost is included in the sale price.
Information about the snails
Lissachatina Immaculata Immaculata can grow up to 12 cm long. However, it lays a lot of eggs, so you need to be prepared to manage them. This species lays 100–300 eggs per clutch. Look for clutches every week.
They originally come from the African rainforest, so they need high humidity and a high temperature. See details.
One special feature of this species is that it MUST go into dry hibernation in winter. This means you should stop spraying at the start of winter. It remains dormant until spring. This does not apply to babies.
Details
The snails can live for up to 7 years and grow to a shell length of up to 12 cm. Their full name is Lissachatina Immaculata Immaculata, wild type.
Care tips
The glass panels of the terrarium/container must always be fogged up for all species of giant African land snails (this is the most important thing).
The temperature should be normal room temperature, or you can use a small heat mat. Add 95% calcium carbonate to the soil to raise its pH (available here in the shop). The minimum terrarium size for a small group of adult Immaculata snails is 100x40x50 cm.
