! Please note !

Snails can only be ordered in a separate order, as we ship the animals with a private courier.
Snails cannot be combined with other items in an order.

You will receive these snails with a shell length between 3 and 5 cm.

The price is for one animal!

Shipping Information

The cute little ones will travel with a special private overnight animal transport service.

As soon as the little ones have been shipped, you will receive an email from us.

They will arrive the following day. Unfortunately, tracking is not possible due to the method of shipping.

We are the only online shop that has a private courier and can offer this service at this price. However, when the snails are shipped depends on a few factors. In order to keep the price low, we can only arrange for group orders to be picked up. Please be patient and understanding that this may take a little longer in some cases. We try to ship everything as quickly as possible.

In cold temperatures, they are shipped in Styrofoam with a heat pack. The cost of this is included in the selling price.

Information about the snails

The species lays only a maximum of 12 eggs, but usually only 8. They are known as the little sister/brother of the Archachatina Marginata Ovum. The keeping conditions are the same, but it does not grow as large. In my opinion, the ideal beginner snail. It stays small, so you do not need as much space, and it does not lay as many eggs as a Lissachatina Fulica, for example.
They originally come from the rainforest in Africa. Therefore, they need very high humidity and a high temperature. See details.

Details

The snails live to be 5 to 7 years old. And can reach a shell length of up to 13 cm. Unlike other species, they lay only up to 12 eggs. The exact name is: Archachatina marginata suturalis.

Keeping tips

This species needs: 90% humidity

The temperature during the day is 28 degrees and at night 24 degrees. Lime the soil with 95% calcium carbonate. The terrarium size should be at least 100x40x50cm. Different snail species must not be kept together in one terrarium. The recommended group size for this species is min. 3 animals.
