Description
The complete terrarium kit (excluding the snail, which you can find under Animals - Breeding - Beginner Snails) is ideal for explorers and observers who love to be enchanted by the little things in nature.
It is also ideal for beginner snail keepers. It gives you your first insights into the "daily life of a snail".
The container is 15 cm high and 15 cm wide at its broadest part at the bottom. The cork stopper at the top is 8 cm wide.
The complete kit includes:
- Container with lid (the lid has been prepared to be snail-safe)
- Pre-limed soil (with oyster shells)
- Small plant
- Small pieces of sepia shell
- Cushion moss
- Dried sphagnum moss
- Alder cones
When your set arrives, arrange everything as you like. The soil first, of course. The only things you still need are the Subulina Octona and a spray bottle to keep the moss moist. This is what the little snails drink.
So spray it occasionally. This also maintains the humidity and, above all, keeps the moss moist so the snails can drink.
The Subulina Octona is an easy species to keep. And if you add a little lettuce, sweet potato, eggplant, etc., it will be the happiest little snail.
Place your mini snail universe away from direct sunlight or on a heater, as that would be too hot.
