In order to keep the price low, we can only have group orders picked up. Please have some patience and understanding that this can take a little longer in some cases. We try to ship everything as quickly as possible.

In cold temperatures, they are shipped with Styrofoam and a heat pack. The cost for this is included in the selling price.

Information about the snails

The Lissachatina reticulata is a very tame and curious species. A special feature of this species is that its shell is not smooth like other species, but has a ribbed structure. This is partly because they grow very quickly. The reticulata lays a lot of eggs. You must be able to handle this. Please note! This species is very sensitive to any changes in the terrarium or in the group. Therefore, it should be avoided to completely redecorate the terrarium frequently or to change the number of the group when the animals are already adults. This means, do not remove adult animals from the group or add new adults. Reticulata often reacts to this with inactivity, withdrawing far into the shell, up to the death of the whole group. However, adding or removing young animals from groups is not yet a problem. This species lays 150 – 500 eggs, look for clutches: every week.

They originally come from the rainforest in Africa. Therefore, they need high humidity and a high temperature. See details.

The snails live between 4 and 7 years and can reach a shell length of up to 18 cm (usually around 15cm). The exact designation is: Lissachatina reticulata albino

This species needs: 80-90% humidity

The temperature during the day is 26 – 28 degrees and at night 23 degrees. Lime the soil with 95% calcium carbonate. Minimum size for the terrarium for a small group of adult snails is 120x40x50cm.Different snail species may not be kept together in one terrarium. The recommended group size for this species is min. 3 animals.
